Forum Christian Church

A seven member team from Forum Christian Church participated in a short term mission trip to the Arizona Reservation Ministries (ARM) in Globe, Arizona from October 10 through October 23, 2009. This ministry brings the love of Jesus Christ to the Apache Native Americans on the San Carlos Apache Reservation. The Forum team had the opportunity to have a cross cultural experience with the Native Americans through participation in the two primary functions of this ministry. One aspect of ARM is the mobile bus ministry on the reservation, where the children are told bible stories about Jesus, given a time to sing, and to do crafts followed with a play time with the ministry staff. The Forum team had a great time assisting with the bus ministry and interacting with the Apache teens and children. The second primary function of ARM is the construction of homes for Apache families. Our team utilized their gifts in the final construction of a home for an Apache couple. To show their appreciation the Apache couple prepared lunch for our team prior to our departure, which was prepared over an open fire and served in front of their existing home.
