Elementary

The elementary ministry serves children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Our focus is to lead as many children and adults to the saving grace of Jesus Christ through the teaching of the Word of God as well as equipping adults for places of service and extending God’s love to all people.

  • Children’s Church: (Ages 2 – 3rd grades)

Children’s church is offered at the 8:15 service in which they will experience structured lessons and activities.

  • KidZone @ 9:30:

KidZone is our elementary children's programming on Sunday mornings.  It is designed to take our children deeper into the Word of God.  We are currently doing a study of the Fruit of the Spirit found in Galatians Ch. 5 by exploring each of the nine qualities using real life examples taken straight out of the Bible.  Kindergarten-3rd grade meet together in room 115 for the first few minutes of the hour for a small community time and then break into individual classes that focus more completely to their developmental level.

4th and 5th graders enjoy a self-contained classroom experience where they are challenged to go even deeper into God's Word and encouraged to memorize Scripture.  Their Sunday School classes meet in room 112 and 113 located off of the gym.

  • KidZone @ 11:00-Jr. Worship:

KidZone Worship meets at the 11:00 service in room 115 and is a time geared for children to worship, pray, have communion, give offering and hear a sermon/lesson. The theme of the Fruit of the Spirit is continued into this hour, but presented in a different way to give the kids a variety in their worship experience.

  • Grapple @ 11:00:
"Grapple" is the name of the combined class provided for the 4th and 5th graders during the 11:00 service.  It looks to help todays "Tween" grapple over some of the challenges that they face in society and in social environments today.  They look at what God's Word has to say about how they should conduct their lives, how they are called to be disciples of Him, and they then flesh out how that walk might look within their everyday lives.  This curriculum is available on-line and allows the kids to safely connect with the other kids in their class to discuss issues and to find out more about upcoming lessons.  This class meets in the Upper Room located above the church offices.
