God makes and fulfills promises 

God speaks through His living word. Though his words from the cross were few – they speak volumes:

“Dear woman, here is your son.” And he said to this disciple, “Here is your mother.”
“I am thirsty.”
“Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”
“I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
“My God, why have you abandoned me?"
“Into your hands I commit my spirit”
“It is finished”

God’s plans prevail.
